The
broad paths leading away from the centre of the Jupiter Garden into all directions
are also lined with maple trees. The borders of these pathways are from yellow
granite, while the water-bound surfaces are made with yellow loam. Works
of art from different countries and cultures are put on display at the ends of
these cul-de-sacs.
| Generous lawns facilitate
cutting across the garden unhindered and invite one to lie back and look at the
sky. In spring, squill transforms the lawns into a blanket of vibrant blue. Intensely
flowering perennials such as daylily, peony, larkspur, torch lily, Oriental poppy,
iris, phlox, yellow knapweed (globe Centaurea), globe thistle and mullein fill
the Jupiter Garden with brilliant deep yellow, royal blue and cardinal red colours.
